Pelukan Matahari
This work presents a fragmented body composed of striking geometric forms—blue, pink, brown, and purple. An intense red background combined with a yellow circle in the upper right corner evokes the impression of a sun illuminating an emotional landscape. The curving body appears to be leaning or embracing the warmth of the light. Meanwhile, the interplay of black and white at the bottom, fused with fluid orange, creates a contrast between serenity and inner turbulence. The painting suggests an intimate relationship between body, light, and space.

Mochamad Samba
I am an artist originally from Depok, now residing in Sukoharjo, where I’ve found inspiration in exploring new artistic media. My work often reflects the emotional challenges of domestic life and interactions with those around me. Influenced by Indonesian maestros like Pak Hanafi and global icons like Jackson Pollock and Jean-Michel Basquiat, I strive to create pieces that resonate deeply and offer new perspectives on life’s complexities.
