Listening To Your Prayers
I grew up with the basic teachings of my parents, one of which was that it's better to pray before going to sleep. All those forms of upbringing were instilled in me and triggered my imagination as a child. I used to imagine that there was someone who stayed awake every night, starting their quiet shift, ensuring comfort because their job was collect all the prayers every night. Nowadays, that might be a disturbing job, knowing that every person has something deeply private, which can be both dark and bright. Secrets exist because not everything should be heard by fellow human beings, and receiving all those secrets as prayers is quite perplexing. I've never received a gift containing ward bread mixed with spoiled fruit. It disturbs my though process.
