Ancestor's Pets
I have had several spiritual visions, seeing a black horse, small monkeys, turtles, and even a snake the size of a bus inside the house. Scared? No, it was something noble, sacred, and non-disruptive, and it turned out to be true. Westerners refer to these as spirit animals, which might be the same or slightly different, but one thing is certain: it's not something to be feared. Observing the role and position of animals in the spiritual practices of our ancestors from the past makes all of this make sense. Whether we like it or not, our "spiritual animal companions" are always with us.
