Bimaswarga
The story tells of Dewi Kunti, who is preparing to perform a sacred ceremony, but the spirits of Pandu and Madri have not yet been purified. She asks her children to retrieve the souls of their parents from hell. Among the brothers, Bima is the only one willing to undertake the journey.
Upon arriving in hell, he encounters a world filled with suffering. Souls endure endless torment, trapped within fiery pits and confined spaces. Amidst this suffering, Bima moves through the crowds of tortured spirits, searching for his parents among countless unfamiliar souls.
His journey is not easy. He must confront the guardians of hell and forces determined to stop him. A battle erupts, shaking an already chaotic realm. After overcoming these obstacles, Bima is allowed to continue his search.
He searches through the pits where the souls are tormented, lifting and moving aside the contents of hell, yet the figures he seeks remain nowhere to be found. Amidst the crushing confinement and turmoil, his search continues without certainty.
This artwork depicts the moment Bima stands in the midst of hell, searching for his parents. His figure becomes the center of movement among the suffering souls, while the surrounding space is filled with density and pressure, leaving no clear path of escape. His search has not yet reached its end, and he continues moving forward through the darkness.
