This work began with concerns about the rapid development of technology and information. In the 2000s, conventional media was people's main choice for accessing news, shows, etc. Especially for children at that time, Sunday was the most eagerly awaited day. Sundays are a fun holiday because many shows (cartoons) grace the television screen at that time. Starting from Dragon Ball, Doraemon, Let's and Go and others. "Sweet Past", this work wants to bring back that romance. Feeling happy and cheerful, waiting for your favorite cartoon film on Sunday. The feeling of happiness when waiting and reading comics in physical form. A world is full of fantasy, humour, imagination, cartoons and comics. A world where children at that time seemed to get a "portion" appropriate to their age and growth.

Helmi Fuadi was born in Banyuwangi, East Java, and now based in Yogyakarta, the artist draws inspiration from the city’s rich art culture. Influenced by Mark Bradford, he believes success comes from fearless creativity. In addition to his art, he works as an educator, using workshops to connect with children. His style blends abstract and contemporary, often using collage techniques inspired by urban textures and posters. He values collaborations and is currently planning a duo exhibition....
