Goddess Of The Lake

Dewi Danu, also titled Ratu Ayu Pingit Dalam Dasar or I Ratu Ayu Mas Membah, is the goddess who rules over Lake Batur together with her eldest son, Ratu Gede Dalam Dasar. She is the consort of Ratu Sakti Pancering Jagat, who is worshipped along with her at the Pancering Jagat Temple in Terunyan. Dewi Danu is one of the Batara Kawitan (ancestral deities) who has a lineage of deification. Her odal (temple anniversary) is celebrated on the Purnama Sadha ("the twelfth full moon").
