Before The Book Falls

Humans indeed have free will, the ability to choose plans/actions with various possibilities and responsibilities. However, each individual has their own strengths and limitations in perceiving life events or experiences, whether internal or external. In today’s era of social media, humans are expected to be able to adapt and think clearly when responding to increasingly artificial events. Unconsciously, people today often act in ways that diverge from their true selves (narcissism, hedonism, consumerism, etc.). Quoting Plato's view, within each person lies Ephitemia (desires), Thumos (spirit), and Logistikon (intellect), and from whichever perspective we manage ourselves today, it is important to develop an "immunity" and "sanity" to wisely perceive the rapid narratives and information, so that our character foundations remain intact.
