One of the triggers for my interest in the art world was my mother. She used to work as a batik artist. I often saw her batik-making and began to be fascinated by the activity. Many questions arose initially, but as time went on, I began to set aside those questions and enjoy the world of creating art, which seemed very enjoyable. Eventually, I reached a point where I wanted to try my hand at drawing.

I am Putu Divayana, and I am from Ubud, specifically from the village of Sayan. I am a realist or contemporary realist painter and a graduate of ISI Denpasar. In my work, I draw much of my inspiration from events or things happening around me, and often from my personal anxieties as well.
