Leaders and the people are like the owl and the moon. Such is the analogy — the leaders belong to the elite class, while the common people lie far beneath. The people's support becomes crucial every time the season of political contests arrives. They also serve as a strong shield for the interests of political elites, whose agendas are polished and presented in the name of the people. What reward do we, as citizens who love this nation so deeply, receive for our loyalty, bitter as gall? The voice of the people has become a sacred incantation that ultimately devours the people themselves.
