Yanwar Nugroho

1988

Hello, I am Yanwar Nugroho and I come from a small village in Yogyakarta called Dusun Siluk, very influential because my environment is the source of my inspiration with an atmosphere that is still beautiful surrounded by hills which to me is very inspiring. My artistic influence or reference in my work is that some pop art artists are wrong. The only one is Mark Ryden and his paintings of Indonesian landscape paintings which are rich in their beauty. Art helps me connect with others and develop my skills through diverse influences. My ideal workspace fosters collaboration, and I aim to showcase my village's themes in a solo exhibition. Critics find my work intriguing and collectible.
