Novi Sumariani

1996

My name’s Kadek Novi Sumariani, and I’m an artist and a lecturer assistant based in Karangasem, Bali. I specialize in Visual Communication Design. In my spare time, I teach yoga. I also recycle paper and use it as a medium to paint. I actually didn’t like painting in the first place. My hidden talent was revealed when I was in elementary school. One day, there was a painting test at my school. As it turned out, my painting was quite good. I never thought I would get a high score for my painting. I got 85 points for it. The experience had such an impact on my artistic journey. I became motivated to keep on enhancing my artistic skills. I kept on practicing, trying new mediums.
