I Made Arsana
Made Arsana is a multidisciplinary artist born in Denpasar in 2001.
His artistic practice explores the potential of materials through a combination of traditional techniques and contemporary approaches. His works frequently engage with cultural themes, with particular attention to the aesthetic values, functions, and meanings embedded in each object.
In addition to his artistic practice, Made Arsana has participated in various exhibitions and art-related activities. His experience in carving and engraving techniques (menatah), particularly on cowhide and other materials, has played an important role in shaping his artistic approach. He has further developed his technical skills and understanding of materials through his own initiative and hands-on involvement in the home-based craft industry, producing jewelry, accessories, and traditional decorative objects such as ogoh-ogoh (Balinese ritual effigies), kites, and penjor (traditional Balinese ceremonial bamboo poles).
Drawing on his educational background in Art Education and his practical experience working with diverse materials, he continues to incorporate these skills and knowledge into his artistic practice. Over the past five years, he has presented his works in various group exhibitions.
